Bryce Harper Hopes Mets Win World Series

on

First of all I’d like to preface this story by saying we had an image prepared beforehand to joke about Bryce Harper, but news just broke that makes this all too perfect. Obviously Harper is not thrilled that his Nationals will be watching the playoffs from the sidelines in October, but he is rooting for the rival New York Mets to win it all.

“Coming from the East, I hope they win it all because they’re from the East and you want that out of your division. I hope they win it all and good luck to them,” he said. “The Mets had everything going for them. They did a lot of things. That deadline came around and they got [Yoenis] Cespedes, [Tyler] Clippard and they built their team. They did a great job this year and they’re doing it.”

Honestly I am lost for words with his statement. Call me cynical, but I hardly call this sincere, so allow me to share the two graphics I intended to anyway.
