Citizens Bank Park Messes Up David Wright’s Scoreboard Photo

on

On Monday, David Wright made his long-anticipated return the Mets in style, slugging an upper-deck home run to kick off the scoring for the orange and blue en route to a 16-7 win over the last place Phillies.

Were the Phillies poking fun at the Mets at the ballpark? Hat tip to Ken Clancy for tipping me off, but when David Wright’s spot came up in the lineup, they didn’t show his picture on the scoreboard, but they did show Kelly Johnson.

Time for the conspiracy theorists to emerge and come up with why the Phillies could do such a heinous thing. Yes, I am being sarcastic, and the Mets responded with their bats, leaving this “mistake” as a distant after thought.

Carry on Mets, and just keep on winning. As for you Phillies…ugh.
