Cliff Floyd Joins Mets SNY Team

on

Cornelius “Cliff” Floyd has joined the family at SNY, and will make his debut on Mets Hot Stove at 10 p.m. on Saturday, SNY announced on Facebook and Twitter.

Floyd will join newcomer Nelson Figueroa and more. Here’s the Tweet from SNY’s Matt Dunn.

After an unknown type of hire with Nelson Figueroa, I am extremely pumped by the Cliff Floyd acquisition, as broadcast is nothing new to him. He’s worked with MLB Network, Sirius XM and now he’s come home to Flushing (or in this case Port St. Lucie).

On Dec. 20, 2002, the Mets signed Floyd as a free agent, and he spent four years with the club. He hit .268 with 81 homers and drove in 273 runs, with his best season being in 2005. He hit 34 homers and drove in 98 runs.

Welcome back to the Mets family Cliff. Hopefully you’re going to be along for a while and see the Mets enjoy several special seasons to come. Below is a highlight from Floyd’s time with the Mets.
