Dark Knight Rises: Harvey Dominant as Mets Take Game One

on

Matt Harvey shut up the critics, at least for one night, with 7 2/3 dominant innings in a Mets 4-2 win Saturday.

The Mets got their first run on a Daniel Murphy bomb…go figure. Their second scored on an RBI single by Curtis Granderson. After that, Travis d’Arnaud went big fly, hitting a 430 foot bomb into the home run apple. Lastly, after Juan Lagares store third base, Granderson hit a sacrifice fly. The Cubs’ runs scored on a misplayed fly ball by Juan Lagares and the second by a Kyle Schwarber bomb.

Bottom line? Harvey was awesome, and Familia, while he gave up two runners, got the final four outs to secure another win.

Three Stars
1) Matt Harvey
2) Juan Lagares
3) Curtis Granderson
