Darling: Frank Francisco is a Fool

on

Remember this? On Sept. 13, 2013, Frank Francisco was pitching with the Mets trailing 5-2 in the top of the eighth inning.

There was a runner on second and Met killer Jayson Werth was up. With a 3-0 count, Francisco decided he’d put Weth on base, and he drilled him on the back in between his numbers, a sentiment the former Phillie did not appreciate.

“That was obvious,” Ron Darling said. “You hear me all the time say that wasn’t intentional, well this was intentional.”

“But why would Frank Francisco be throwing at Jayson Werth?” Gary Cohen asked.

“Because he’s a fool,” Darling responded. “That’s why, I can’t say it any more than that. That’s the silliest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Agreed, Ronny, Agreed.
