Dickey Trashes His Teammates While Buck Keeps Homering

Former Mets legend R.A. Dickey is on my fantasy baseball team in which I put down 40 bucks to try to once again make a run at a title after finishing fourth last year and second two years ago.

(In the interest of trashing my Co-Owner Michael Charles Ganci, he missed the playoffs last year and I beat him in the playoffs two years ago)

He is pitching to a 5.36 ERA so far with the Blue Jays and is now going out of his way to make sure everyone knows it’s not just him stinking up the Skydome.

Well done R.A., that is going to go over really well in the clubhouse. The same clubhouse in which CBSSports.com recently said was very much on shaky ground.

Of course the only guy in the Major Leagues that was apart of the package going to the Mets, John Buck, is having the early season to remember.

Buck is hitting .263 with a team leading 10 homers and a National League leading 29 RBI and even texts Matt Harvey late at night about how awesome he is.

Things are looking good for the Mets in this deal and that is without the core players in the deal doing anything for them so far above Class A.

Well the Mets don’t have too many wins this season but they got more than the Blue Jays on the field and chalk up one for off the field as well.

Typical of today’s age of sensationalism. Don’t bother paying any attention to the context of the comment. That might actually change the meaning from what you *want* it to mean.

Dickey was asked whether he thought the Jays clubhouse was dysfunctional, to which he replied “NO, we’re dysfunctional on the field, but not in the room.”

No one in their right mind would say that the Jays have performed well on the field so far this season, which Dickey acknowledged, but he did not trash anyone.

    Get the facts straight.

Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.
