Albeit a small sampling, here’s a look at the first three games for each of the Mets top four affiliates…

 

Las Vegas - 2013Las Vegas 51’s (3-0, 1st Place in PCL Pacific Southern Division)

Viva Las Vegas! The 51s are off to a quick start winning their first three games of the season which is the best start for a Mets Triple-A affiliate since their last season in New Orleans in 2008. After one more game in Sacramento today the 51’s head to Fresno for four before their home opener on Friday against Colorado Springs.

Who’s Hot? – Andrew Brown (OF) is 5-for-11 with 3 doubles and 7 RBI

Who’s Not? – Juan Lagares (OF) is only 2-for-14 to start the year with 2 singles

Top Pitching Performance – Collin McHugh (SP) went 5 1/3 innings in his first outing and allowed one run on four hits…Greg Peavey (RP) has gone 3 2/3 innings of relief without allowing a run.

Top Prospect Update: Travis d’Arnaud (.375 AVG, 2 2B, 2 RBI, 1.082 OPS); Zack Wheeler (3 1/3 IP, 2 Runs, 5.40 ERA)

 

Binghamton - 2013Binghamton Mets (3-0, 1st Place EL Eastern Division)

The B-Mets are also off to their best start with a 3-0 record for the first time since at least 2004, who had a stacked lineup with the likes of David Wright, Justin Huber, Prentice Redman, Angel Pagan, Jeff Duncan.

Who’s Hot? – Josh Rodriguez (SS) has a .417 average with 8 total bases, and a 1.128 OPS

Who’s Not? – The 1st Basemen, Richard Lucas (0-for-5) and Rhyne Hughes (0-for-7)

Co-Top Pitching Performance – Rafael Montero (SP) went 5 2/3 allowing 1 run on 2 hits with 8 Ks; Cory Mazzoni (SP) allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 5 innings

Top Prospect Update: Mazzoni (see above); Jack Leathersich (RP) 1 save in 1 IP; Cory Vaughn (OF) 2-for-10 with 1 RBI

 

St. Lucie - 2013St. Lucie Mets (3-0, T-1st FSL South Division)

Who’s Not? – Aderlin Rodriguez (3B) 1-for-10 with 2 RBI; Travis Taijeron (OF) 1-for-12 with 2 RBI
