Go-Fund Me Campaign Started After Rusty Staub Has Heart Attack

on

A Go-Fund Me campaign has been created after former Mets World Series champion Rusty Staub had a heart attack on his flight home from Ireland.

According to Stephen Marro, a Palm Beach Gardens, Florida resident who claims to be a close friend of Rusty’s, two doctors were on board and miraculously saved Staub’s life. Here’s what he had to say.

Rusty was traveling home from Ireland yesterday when he suffered heart attack midair. Miraculously, there were two doctors on board the plane that sprung into action and were able to revive him. The “Miracle Met” was then transported back to Ireland where he underwent emergency surgery that was a success. My goal is to get Mr. Staub home from Ireland as soon as possible! Because of the length of the flight, he is required to take a medical plane that will cost $60,000. My family is very close with Rusty and his family and will be transferring the proceeds to them to get him home.

Thus far, 12 donations have the pot up to $2,730 in just 18 hours. Get well soon! For more on the Go Fund Me campaign, click here.
