With Harvey Uncertainty Looming, Zack Wheeler Shows Up Big Time

on

Zack Wheeler tossed 6.0 innings and allowed one run, earned, on two hits and earned his second win of the season last night

He struck out four and walked four. This was his first win at home since August 15, 2014 vs. the Cubs. It’s Wheeler’s second start this year allowing one or fewer runs (also April 18) and the fourth such start by a Mets starting pitcher this year (Noah Syndergaard (April 3 vs. Atlanta) and Jacob deGrom (April 5 vs. Atlanta) have the others).
