Listen: Spanish Call of Cespedes’ Homer to Beat Nats May Be Better Than Howie’s

on

I have to give credit where credit is due.

Since I originally posted the WOR 710 recap clips, they have been very hospitable and even send me suggested clips for use, which I very much appreciate. In Wednesday’s 5-3 win against Washington, Yoenis Cespedes undoubtedly had the biggest hit, a bomb against Drew Storen to give the Mets a lead they would not relinquish.

Howie Rose had an epic call of the play, which you can hear below, but he may have been upstaged. Max Perez Jiminez, who’s the Mets’ spanish announcer, had quite the call, but I think he was declared the victor when he hollered “Hasta La Vista Baby!” His call also sounded very much like a soccer announcer.

Check it out below. Gotta love it.
