Meet the Mets Mr. 1500s

on

Michael Cuddyer had an RBI single last night in the fourth inning for his 1,500th career hit, and Juan Uribe singled in the sixth inning for his 1,500th hit as well.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the duo is the second pair of players to debut in the majors since 1900 and each record their 1,500th career hit in the same game while playing for the same team. The other players to do that were Omar Vizquel and Travis Fryman for the Indians on June 24, 2000.

Cuddyer is 3-8 (.375) with two runs scored and one RBI since returning from the Disabled List. Uribe has three game-winning RBI with the Mets.
