Mets Fan Starts Go Fund Me Campaign to Help Offense

on

In what’s honestly one of the funniest but also saddest things I have ever seen, a Mets fan has taken it upon himself to start a Go Fund Me campaign to try to help get the Mets a hitter.

Etan loves the Mets and hated to make the video, which you can see below. But he compared the Mets to an elderly grandparent, saying that they need him more than he needs them.

From the Go Fund Me Page:

So here’s what we need: 3 million dollars to give to the New York Mets so they can get what they need most: a guy who can hit in the middle of the order.

This far, with six days left in the donation process, Etan has raised $750 for the cause. The goal is $3 million, but odds makers don’t expect the campaign to get anywhere close. Among the supports, who are ranked with “Muno Level”, “Campbell Level” and more based on how much they donate, users named Hal Steinbrenner, Brian Cashman and Sandy Alderson joined the fray.
