Mets Trade Ike Davis On Friday And Still Have His Banner Up At Citi Field

On Friday night the Mets traded away Ike Davis to the Pirates for minor league pitcher Zack Thornton and a Player to be Named Later.

It seems that 24 hours is just not enough time for the Mets and their stadium operations people to take down Ike’s banner now that he is no longer with the team.

Is this a major #LOLMets moment? We wouldn’t say major but we got a good laugh out of it none the less.

Although the Mets do have banners of former players who were big parts of past teams so maybe they just want everyone to remember that Ike was a New York Met!

It’s hilarious that you try to make some kind of negative story crapping on the Mets out of this, and the picture you use includes the TIM TEUFEL banner right next to the banner of Ike.

Yes, the Mets clearly take down all banners the second someone is traded. *eye roll*

This is the kind of stupid crap that you wind up saying when you dedicate your site to knee-jerk reflexively kicking yourself in the ass for being a Mets fan. Your articles are way more embarrassing than what the Mets actually do most of the time. Take the KICK ME sign off and grow a spine.
