Put It In The Books: Legendary Mets Announcer Howie Rose

on

The following is courtesy of WOR 710:

Howie Rose’s name is synonymous with the New York Mets.

Following a lineage of legendary broadcasters like Bob Murphy and Lindsey Nelson, Howie has made an indelible mark on the franchise.

As someone who grew up living and breathing baseball, Howie’s earliest memories are going to games at Shea Stadium to watch the Mets play.

Fast forward to 2015, the Mets are on fire and Howie is a veteran and icon in sports broadcasting. He takes us on his journey to the broadcast booth at Citi Field, the excitement of pennant race baseball, his love of the sport and more in our profile piece, “Put It In The Books: WOR’s Legendary Mets Announcer Howie Rose.”
