Report: Mets Spent $900 Million for Failure

on

According to a Business Insider Report that was published earlier today, the Mets have spent approximately $900 million in player salaries since they last made the playoffs in 2006.

Believe it or not, there are two teams worse than that.

The Toronto Blue Jays are the most depleted, according to the story, spending $1.4 billion since their 1993 appearance. The Seattle Mariners come in second, spending more than $1 billion since 2001.

Names that contributed to this: Oliver Perez, Luis Castillo, Jason Bay, you get the gist.
