Sean Engel became a Met fan on June 25, 2000 when he attended his first game at Shea Stadium against the Pittsburgh Pirates. In the game Mike Hampton squared off against future Met Kris Benson. In the game the Mets won by a score of 9-0 and Melvin Mora hit a home run in the Mets victory, his favorite Met of all-time Joe McEwing played three positions in the game and went 1-for-4 at the plate.
