Who’s the Best Manager in Mets History?

on

On a slow day in Mets land, a thought that came across my mind is who the best manager in team history is. If you go by wins, Davey Johnson and Bobby Valentine lead the pack. Johnson also won a World Series, while Valetine appeared in one, losing in 2000 to the Yankees.

You can’t have the conversation without World Series champion Gil Hodges or the innovator himself, original Mets’ manager Casey Stengel. Here’s a statistical chart, courtesy of WikiPedia.
