Colon has had spurts of greatness this season but his numbers fail to show it. The 41-year-old is 5-5 with a 4.31 ERA but has not dropped a decision in his last five starts. Despite an impressive ERA of 2.13, Cashner has gone just 2-5 over 10 starts this season.

The second game of the series will be played Saturday afternoon and will also feature a postgame concert by rapper and hip-hop artist 50 Cent. Zack Wheeler will make the start for the Mets while the Padres have yet to announce who will take the mound.
The 24-year-old Wheeler has yet to find consistency this year after allowing 34 runs in 73 innings this season. Matsuzaka has been largely used for relief work this season but will make his fourth start Sunday. The Japanese-born righty has posted a 3-0 record and 2.95 ERA over 39.2 innings this season. Kennedy has struggled this season, going just 5-7 with a 3.63 ERA in 14 starts.
