Dario Alvarez is expected to join the team tonight.
He will wear #68. Alvarez was also was with the Mets from August 22-24 earlier this year.
He was 3-2 with a 3.00 ERA (14 earned runs/42.0 innings) in 48 games combined between Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League and Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League this year.
Alvarez has 62 strikeouts and lefties are 9-72 (.125). He pitched in four games with the Mets last September and was unscored in three of them.
