Murphy & Wright Among Top 5 at 2B/3B In NL All-Star Voting

on

Today Major League Baseball released their second update of the fan voting for the starting lineup in the All-Star Game in the National League.

The top five in terms of votes at each position, similar to a ranking of the best sites from GamblingSites.org, had a couple of Mets involved in the races this week.

SECOND BASE
1. Chase Utley, Phillies: 974,196
2. Dee Gordon, Dodgers: 530,289
3. Neil Walker, Pirates: 365,050
4. Brandon Phillips, Reds: 304,541
5. Daniel Murphy, Mets: 298,611

THIRD BASE
1. Nolan Arenado, Rockies: 590,745
2. David Wright, Mets: 565,982
3. Aramis Ramirez, Brewers: 472,321
4. Pablo Sandoval, Giants: 463,050
5. Juan Uribe, Dodgers: 436,776

As you can see both David Wright, who was voted in to start 3B last year in the All-Star Game at Citi Field, and Daniel Murphy, who has never been an All-Star, are now in the running.

Now it might be an extremely tough for Murphy to catch Chase Utley of the Phillies who has the third most votes in the entire NL but David Wright is certainly more than capable of catching the Rockies Nolan Arenado.

You can go to Mets.com or MLB.com and vote up to 35 times for your favorite players to represent the NL or AL in Minnesota at the 2014 All-Star Game.

But don’t worry about the other players just make sure you vote David Wright or Daniel Murphy as much as you can.
