Post Game: Mets 7-Rockies 5

on

After a horrific 18-9 loss last night, the Mets came back with a 7-5 victory over the Rockies this evening to take game 2 of the 3 game weekend series.  Dillon Gee pitched very well, going 7 innings with 7 strikeouts, allowing 7 hits and 3 earned runs.  His ERA for the season 4.85.

Murphy and Wright each had 3 hits, but Thole’s 10 game hit streak came to an end today going 0-4 with a strikeout.  His season average is still at .340.

Duda smashed his 4th homerun of the year in the 2nd inning to give the Mets a 3-2 lead.  The Mets 3-5 hitters were 8-15 in the game which is an excellent sign.

The Mets will have the rubber match tomorrow at 3:10 PM.
