Simply DeGrominant: Jacob’s 13 K’s Lead to Mets’ Game One Win

It was quite the performance for Jacob deGrom, who struck out 13 over seven shutout frames Friday to give the Mets a 1-0 lead in the NLDS against the Dodgers.

Here’s a highlight from deGrom:

The Mets took the lead on Daniel Murphy’s solo blast of Clayton Kershaw which went an impressive 415 feet. Watch below:

They added insurance in the seventh when David Wright singled in two against the suspect Dodgers’ bullpen. Here’s a look:

That’s all the insurance Jeurys Familia would need, as he collected a 4-out save to lock down the win.
