With Bartolo Colon pitching eight great innings in search of his 200th win, the Mets led the Phillies 5-1 heading to the bottom of the 9th inning.
Then things got a little interesting as Dana Eveland allowed Chase Utley and Ryan Howard to reach base to start the innings.
Mets closer Jenrry Mejia then came in and gave up a single to Marlon Byrd to load the bases and a 2 RBI double to Grady Sizemore to cut the lead to 5-3, put runners at 2nd and 3rd with nobody out.
Curtis Granderson made a sliding catch on a bloop by Carlos Ruiz for the first out and an RBI groundout to first by Cody Asche made it 5-4 with two outs.
Then with Reid Brignac up, this happened to end the ball game…

Jenrry was fired up don’t you think? A crazy last inning for the Mets bullpen nearly saw Colon’s 200th win go down the drain.
Instead Mejia danced his way to a save and Colon got his 200th win, only the 3rd active player with that many wins and the 3rd Dominican born pitcher ever to achieve the feat.
