Valentines Day is coming up on Saturday, Feb. 14 and maybe Sandy Alderson can make a splash and land someone for Mets fans to be excited about.
For the most part with the exception of Cuddyer, this has been a dreadful offseason for the Metropolitans. 2015 is supposed to be the year the Mets “Take back New York”, but at this rate, the Mets have almost the same exact team as last season when the team finished 79-83.
Please Sandy! Something for us die hard fans to look forward to this season. A shortstop? How about a left hand reliever? Another bat off the bench? Or is an of that too much to ask for?
Looking at Mets posts day after day and seeing they have done nothing to improve the team is really irritating. Here are a bunch of Mets fans really looking forward to the upcoming season and the front office is giving them nothing. The offseason is not over yet, but with the trends Alderson has set, more than likely no signings will be made.
We can only hope Harvey and Cuddyer can make this team a major upgrade because if they cant, we are looking at another below .500 season for the seventh year in a row.
