Happy Recap: #Mets Topple Phillies, 7-2

on

The home opener was surely freezing, but the Mets (2-1) topped the Phillies (0-4) for their second straight win and sent the home fans away happy.

Michael Conforto drove in three runs, Neil Walker contributed some timely hits and Jacob deGrom was deGrominant before leaving after six innings with a tight lat muscle. Our fingers are crossed that he will be alright.

Game Ball: Today’s game ball goes to Michael Conforto, who contributed three RBI on the day. This kid is going to be a good hitter, and his maturity at the plate is astounding for such a young age.
