According to MLB.com’s Anthony DiComo, criminal charges have been dropped against Mets’ closer Jeurys Familia.

Jeurys Familia's assault charges were dismissed today in N.J. court, according to reporters. He will not face any more criminal proceedings.

This does not mean Familia will not be suspended. This is just speculation, but I would think Familia is facing a suspension of at least 25 games. We will have to see what MLB decides now that the criminal investigation has concluded.
