Jeff McNeil will “officially” adopt the puppy that he held on July 26 prior the Mets-Marlins game today at 3:30 p.m. on the field at Citi Field. After holding the puppy, McNeil hit a three-run homer in a 6-3 win that night.
He and his wife, Tatiana, agreed to adopt the puppy from North Shore Animal League. McNeil, the new puppy and Kathleen Lynn, Director of Communications for the North Shore Animal League America will all be on hand.
Holding a puppy before the game is scientifically proven to increase home runs…
