The New York Mets will proudly honor Gil Hodges’ family prior to the 1:10 p.m. game on Saturday, April 16 vs. Arizona.
Hodges, the manager of the 1969 Miracle Mets and the eight-time Dodger All-Star first baseman, was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame last December by the Golden Days Era Committee. Hodges’ children will be joined by Josh Rawitch, the President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum and Joe Torre, Special Assistant to the Commissioner for a press conference at Citi Field.
