A year ago today the Mets played a Thursday afternoon game against the Colorado Rockies, looking to avoid the four-game sweep at the hand of the Rockies the Mets sent Collin McHugh to the mound for his first Major League start. McHugh pitched well, going seven innings while allowing no runs on two hits while striking out a (still) career best nine batters.
As most of us in the New York Metropolitan area know when the Mets are on in the afternoon the mid-day show on WFAN goes until 12:30 before Pre-Game Mets Extra begins for a 1 p.m. game. And after Post-Game Mets Extra comes to an end, the game followed by Mike's On: Francesa on the FAN.
