Get ready for another Mets’ pitching story that’s all kinds of awesome.
Jacob deGrom did tonight what Jacob deGrom does. He went seven scoreless with 10 strikeouts, although he did walk four. He was able to make the big pitches when it counted, and one of the opponents took notice. That opponent is Colorado Rockies’ slugger Carlos Gonzalez, who referred to deGrom as the “best pitcher in the game.”
