Current Mets player Seth Lugo, along with ex-Mets Rene Rivera and Carlos Beltran, are trying to do their part to raise money for those devastated by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
Carlos and Jessica Beltran organized a CrowdWise that’s raised $1,120,178 in just three days. Here’s what the website’s description says. “The devastation that Hurricane Maria has brought to Puerto Rico is unimaginable, leaving the island without power for the indefinite future. Many of us are still praying and waiting to hear from our loved ones to just know they are ok. We will be raising funds for the Fundacion Carlos Beltran so we can personally insure that all funds go where they will be needed the most to help when the water recedes. Any donation, large or small, is greatly appreciated and will help the people who need it the most. We are personally kicking the efforts off with a $1,000,000 donation.”

Rivera has been promoting a Go Fund Me that’s raised more than $16,000 in 13 days. To view and contribute to the cause, click here.
Guys, we have relocated the gofundme donations to help rebuild our island of Puerto Rico. Every dollar counts! https://t.co/RebnE3pz1r
