If you’ve been to Citifield more than a couple times the past couple of yers, you’ve undoubtedly seen the pooch pictured above decked out in some sort of Mets garb.
Every time I see him (or her), I can’t help but wonder whether or not it is good for him (or her) to be a glorified mascot outside the stadium. His purpose is to accumulate tips for his owner, and who knows where that money actually goes?
The dog himself (or herself) is harmless, but usually, the pooch is seen with a pipe sticking out of his (or her) mouth. Cute? I don’t think so. I kinda think it’s gross. Animal enthusiasts could conceivably think that this treatment or the dog is not only wrong, but mistreatment. I am on the fence.
What do you think? Do you know the full story surrounding this pooch?
