Robert Gsellman equaled his career-high working seven innings on Monday. It’s the third time in his career he’s gone seven innings, last on April 19 vs. Philadelphia.
In Gsellman’s last 15 innings, he’s allowed 10 hits, four earned runs (2.40 ERA) and notched 10 strikeouts. He’s won three of his last four decisions.
Gsellman also helped his own cause with the bat, as he had a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning and a bases loaded walk in the sixth inning. The two RBI are a career-high. Gsellman has three career RBI (all this season).
