Good news to those who are frequent watchers of the television home of the Mets, SNY. Gary Cohen has agreed to a new multi-year contract, according to the Daily News.

His career as a Mets broadcaster began in 1989, working the radio side with the late Bob Murphy, a Hall of Famer. Now, Cohen has a shot at joining his partner in Cooperstown. Earlier this month, Cohen was named as one of the finalists for the 2017 Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in broadcasting.
