Conforto, 22, has raked in the minors this season, especially since his promotion to Double-A. In 42 games since he was called up from St. Lucie, Conforto has hit .325 with a .407 OBP. He has 5 homers and 25 RBI in 192 at-bats. He also has 12 doubles, three triples and 21 runs scored. He’s struck out about 19 percent of the time.
Conforto earned the Eastern League Player of the Week award for July 13-19.
From Just Mets:
Conforto went 7-for-16, with a double, triple, two home runs and three RBI with three runs scored for the B-Mets last week. He led all Eastern League players in slugging percentage (1.000) and OPS (1.500), last week and tied for the lead in home runs, extra-base hits and triples.
