I am very excited, not only as a fan, but as a former journalist.
A couple days ago, I had an idea to do a quick Q&A, nothing fancy, about 10 questions or so. I sent out a tweet to a very notable Met fan (secrets are fun). To my surprise, in just minutes, he responded. He sent me his personal email address and I sent him some questions.
His response inspired me. If I could get him, why not others? So I went after guys and gals from TV, print, radio and online to diversify the Q&A and turn it into a series, and the response has been overwhelming.
Thus far, I have representatives from ESPN, Daily News, Newsday, New York Post, Wall Street Journal, Mets Blog, Z100, WFAN, SNY, MSG, FOX Sports and Rotoworld to go along with a couple former Met players. Pretty good representation right?
Rather than reveal all of these people, I will give you a reason to come by. Every day, starting at 9 a.m., we will feature a new spotlight, starting on Monday, Feb. 9. Feel free to comment, tweet at us or make your presence felt on Facebook. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #9Innings.
I hope to have multiple series moving forward. It’s great when people like take time out of their schedule to connect with us…the fans.
Thanks for reading, and as always, Let’s Go Mets!
