In a surprising move, the Mets have summoned right-hander Rafael Montero from Las Vegas after their bullpen was heavily taxed on Monday night.
No corresponding move has been confirmed, but speculation surrounding the move revolves on either Jacob deGrom or Hansel Robles. Robles pitched 52 pitches Monday and can be sent out on a temporary basis, while deGrom may end up on deSabled list or dePaternity list.
More as we know it, but let’s hope Noah Syndergaard gives the Mets some length tonight to give the bullpen some much-needed rest.
