In a game that has seen wind gusts around 40 miles per hour, Mets First Baseman Lucas Duda crushed a solo home run against St. Louis Cardinals reliever Seth Maness in the sixth inning that landed right in the front of the Shea Bridge.
That folks is one of the reasons why the Mets did feel comfortable trading away Ike Davis. Now this one AB does not mean that the trade was the right move but Duda does have the raw power and eye at the plate to be successful in the Majors.
No matter how you feel about Duda and him being the first baseman of the Mets, you have to admit that his home run was absolutely crushed.
Lets just hope he can do that a bit more often.
