The New York Mets will host their inaugural holiday shopping spree for children on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at the College Point Target in Queens at 5 p.m.
The Mets worked with The River Fund New York to pre-select 14 children from the New York City area to participate in the shopping spree with Matt Harvey, Noah Syndergaard, Brandon Nimmo, Mr. Met and Mets front office staff.
Each child will be paired with a Mets employee to help them choose gifts for their families. After the shopping spree is complete, the children will be treated to a pizza party and surprised with a gift card to spend on themselves.
