In the bottom of the second inning, Bartolo Colon stepped up to the plate with two outs and Travis d’Arnuad at second base.
It was in this instance that Big Bart decided that it was time to break out his home run swing while facing the Braves Ervin Santana.
Wow. That was some swing folks. We could feel the breeze all around the tri-state area. Bartolo would go on to strike out but we are sure that you are not all that shocked.
Heck, even the Mets twitter account, normally extremely boring and downright awful, got into the mix of teasing Bartolo for his escapades at the plate.
Colon is better at throwing strikes than hitting 'em. End of 2, 1-0 #Mets #NYMvsATL
