In very sad news, longtime Mets’ staffer Shannon Forde, who I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, died after a long battle with breast cancer.
In my brief interactions with her, she was always first class and treated everyone with respect and dignity. The Mets lost not only a dedicated staffer, but a good person. More importantly, it’s a tremendous loss for her family and friends, and we extend our deepest condolences.
