According to Page Six, the Mets will host a “Pride Night” for the LGBTQ community at Citi Field this season, and that means they’ll be the first professional New York sports team to do such a thing.

The Mets will unveil details (including the date) at a press conference Tuesday, with Queens Borough President Melinda Katz, Rep. Steve Israel and LGBT Network CEO David Kilmnick. Over 5,000 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender fans are expected at Pride Night, and a portion of all ticket sales will go the LGBT Network’s anti-bullying programs.
