My friend Maggie Wiggin (@Maggie162) was on recap duty for the Mets game tonight on Metsblog.com and unfortunately was a little quick to give the Mets a 4-2 win over the Dodgers in LA this morning.

LaTroy Hawkins gave up a lead-off single and then with one out, a game tying two run home run to pinch hitter Andre Either and the game went to extra innings.
Eventually the Dodgers would win it in 12 on a game winning single from Adrian Gonzalez. If only Metsblog and Maggie had not published that post…
Now it is an honest mistake and did the Mets really lose because she pressed “publish” instead of “save draft?” of course not. That is just foolish.
But it is both parts sad (cause the Mets lost) and funny (because the twitter reaction to this was pretty good) that this happened.
The Mets blew a 4-0 lead and the Dodgers are the hottest team in baseball. Karma is on the side of the team from LA and hasn't been with the Mets since 2006.
Oh well, if only Metsblog had been right.
