Bruce, 29, is hitting .265 with 25 homers and 80 RBI. In his career, which spans nine years, he has a .249 career batting average and a .319 OBP. His best season came in 2013 when he hit 30 homers and drove in 109 runs. The Mets hope they are getting a middle-of-the-order force who can help turn their season around.
