Paul DePodesta, who’s been the Mets Vice President of Player Development and Amateur Scouting, is leaving the Mets to become the Executive Vice President of the Cleveland Browns, according to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.

DePodesta has been one of Sandy Alderson’s principal lieutenants, along with assistant GM John Ricco and special assistant J.P. Ricciardi.
