- ZACK WHEELER: Will undergo a minor procedure today at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York to remove a suture knot in his right forearm…The suture knot, which is residue from his previous Tommy John surgery and will be removed under a local anesthetic, has caused skin irritation in the forearm…Zack should resume his throwing program within a few days of the procedure…His return to the active roster should not be affected by Tuesday’s procedure.
