According to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, Jeurys Familia has been suspended 15 games by MLB for violating the league’s Domestic Violence Policy.

On the surface, it seems reasonable. It’s basically the equivalent of going on the disabled list last year. It’s clear to me that Familia was not faultless here and there needed to be some sort of punishment, but the fact that he and his wife cooperated with MLB’s investigation probably helped his case.

He will be eligible to return on Thursday, April 20 vs. the Phillies at Citi Field. Addison Reed will fill in for him while he’s suspended.
