How the Mets Plan to Pay Tribute on Memorial Day

on

The Mets, in conjunction with the USO of Metropolitan New York, will host their eighth annual Military Appreciation Day today on Memorial Day.

The USO Show Troupe will perform today’s National Anthem. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus will throw out today’s ceremonial first pitch. A Flyover by two U.S. Navy fighters from VFA-37 in Virginia Beach will take place after the Anthem and the U.S. Army Black Knights Parachute Team from West Point will jump into Citi Field to deliver the first pitch ball.

A reenlistment ceremony for 53 military personnel will take place prior to the game and children of military personnel will lead the crowd in the pledge of allegiance.
