Is the ‘Toddfather’ Officially Back for the Mets?

on

Todd Frazier is one home run away from 200 for his career. He would become the 36th active player with at least 200 home runs. He is batting .317 (19 for 60) with 14 runs scored, three doubles, four homers, 12 RBI and nine walks over his last 17 games, which includes seven multi-hit efforts. Since May 1, Frazier is batting .266/.360/.440 with 10 extra-base hits, 13 RBI and 13 walks in 35 games.

Here are some more notes on how hot the “Toddfather” has been lately:

  • Tied a season-high with four RBI on June 9. Has three homers, nine RBI, seven walks and a 1.036 OPS in 10 games this month.
  • Is hitting .321 (27-84) with five doubles, one triple, four homers, 13 RBI, 17 runs scored and 13 walks over his last 25 games dating to May 16 (.978 OPS).
  • Has hit .395 (15-38) with runners in scoring position this season. Ranks ninth in the majors in batting average with RISP (min. 30 at-bats). In his last six games, is 6-9 (.667) with a double, two homers and seven RBI with RISP.
  • Reached safely in all four of his plate appearances, going 2-2 with an RBI, a run scored, a walk and a hit by pitch on June 8. Both of his hits came with RISP.
  • Is one homer shy of 200 for his career…Belted his fifth-career grand slam on April 23 vs. Philadelphia.

Can he keep up his hot hitting? We all certainly hope so!
