Today, a tweet on the Mets Twitter account caught my eye about a new Mets History account being created, so I decided to check it out. I was immediately intrigued.

That’s the first of hopefully many tweets coming from this account. I’d imagine this is a byproduct of the Mets, but this is also an effective tool for us bloggers to use. It can inspire us to come up with post ideas, just like their second tweet did.

Strawberry was perhaps the most gifted offensive player the Mets have ever had. Did you know today was his anniversary of his Mets beginning? I certainly didn’t. I would love to elaborate further, but I have to go umpire little league. Let’s go Mets!
